EPM Technical Consultant

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle EPM Technical Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle EPM Cloud Planning / EPBCS technical components.

The candidate will be responsible for configuring, developing, migrating and supporting EPM applications across implementation, enhancement and AMS engagements.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience with Forms, Business Rules, Groovy Calculations, Reports, Data Maps, Data Management, metadata management and application artifact migration, along with a good understanding of Oracle EPM SaaS products.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle EPM Planning / EPBCS

• Configure and support Oracle EPM Cloud Planning / EPBCS applications.
• Build and enhance Web Forms, including form design, user prompts, validations and usability improvements.
• Develop and optimize Business Rules, Calculation Scripts, Groovy Rules, Planning Rules and Rule Templates.
• Configure and maintain Data Maps for movement of data across cubes, scenarios, versions and other dimensions.
• Manage metadata updates, dimensions, members and hierarchies in line with functional requirements.
• Troubleshoot rule failures, form issues, calculation errors and application-related issues.

Reporting & Analytics

• Develop and support Smart View reports, templates, ad-hoc reports and formatted reports.
• Work with Financial Reports and reporting artifacts based on project requirements.
• Validate reporting outputs with finance stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for reporting solutions.
• Basic exposure to Narrative Reporting is an added advantage.

Data Integration

• Configure and support data loads using Data Management / EPM Data Integration.
• Create and maintain Import Formats, Locations, Mappings, Data Load Rules and Validation Rules.
• Troubleshoot data-load failures and identify corrective actions.
• Support integrations with ERP systems, flat files and other source systems.
• Coordinate with integration teams for end-to-end data-flow issues.

Migration & Release Management

• Support LCM-based migration activities across DEV, UAT and PROD environments.
• Perform application artifact migration between environments.
• Prepare and maintain migration or deployment steps, release notes, rollback procedures and technical impact analysis.
• Ensure audit-ready technical documentation.

Testing & Production Support

• Support SIT/UAT activities by preparing technical test cases and supporting defect resolution.
• Provide production support for incidents and enhancements in an AMS environment.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues.
• Maintain known-error documentation and support Knowledge Transfer activities.

• Understanding of integration between Oracle ERP Cloud and EPM.
• Basic exposure to Narrative Reporting.
• Experience working in ITIL / AMS support environments.
