Senior AI Engineer – Backend Support / AI Champion

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer – Backend Support / AI Champion with strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL and backend engineering, combined with hands-on experience in Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and Agentic AI solutions.

The candidate will drive AI-led backend engineering and support transformation, improve production stability and MTTR, and promote AI adoption across engineering and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, enhance and support Node.js / Express backend services and GraphQL APIs.
• Design and implement Agentic AI solutions, AI agents, RAG pipelines and LLM-powered workflows.
• Develop and optimize LLM-based applications and AI-driven automation solutions.
• Own L3 production support, incident management, debugging, RCA and problem management.
• Monitor backend applications using Dynatrace and other observability platforms.
• Drive AI adoption across backend engineering, operations and enterprise platforms.
• Leverage GitHub Copilot, Cursor and other AI coding tools to improve developer productivity.
• Work with Apollo Federation and modern GraphQL architectures.
• Manage cloud deployments, containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams using JIRA, ServiceNow and Git.
• Participate in on-call production support and handle critical incidents.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a strong backend engineer who has transitioned into AI-enabled engineering, rather than a pure AI/ML profile. They should be comfortable owning production backend systems while also designing and implementing practical Agentic AI, LLM and RAG solutions.

Key differentiator: Hands-on experience combining Node.js + TypeScript + GraphQL + Production Support + Agentic AI/LLM/RAG will be highly preferred.
